Mamaa has appointed Cathy as Dorset representative
Mamaa is a national registered charity working with and for victims of violent crime. www.mamaa.org
Mamaa works with the violent crime unit at the Home Office and is part of the Home Secretary's round table for reducing street violence with guns, gangs and knives.
Mamaa is part of the Flaccs panel at New Scotland Yard working with Liaison officer training.
Mamaa is delighted that Cathy Franklin of Blandford in Dorset has agreed to be the Mamaa representative in the area.
Cathy was herself a victim of secondary violence when her young son Ryan was murdered by his father.
After completing Mamaa training Cathy is now ready to support other victims in Dorset, and also approach the Dorset police to work with them.
She will also be available to give crime awareness talks in schools and to young offenders,
